Let The Light Shine In!

This Swag and Cascade Valance was perfect for theses windows! The velvet fabric and long braided fringe created a very victorian feel in this traditional home. I tied back the longer longer cascade to Let The Sunshine In!

Great Room

For this great room there was a lot of little nooks and the home owner wanted to take advatange of them. By providing comfortable spaces for her guest and also coordinating them together to create one big Great Room!
This is trellis fabric we found from Kravet has been very popular this season. We did not do a pleated top on these panels to allow for full coverage of the french doors and side lights.

Using the same trellis fabric in the same room creates a unity and makes a huge room feel intimate. Although this may look like a roman shade it is not. This is a stationary mock roman and is mounted on the inside. This valance over the sink covering a double window gives the effect of one big window!

Serenity

The architecture in this bathroom was screaming SILK! The claw foot tub, the crown molding, the wainscoting and the fresh paint color were missing the finishing detail . . . Silk! The home owner found this silk at Calico Corners and selected the rod and rings at Restoration Hardware. Then it was time for my job! I sewed these pleated top Panels and then attached the panels to the gorgeous rings and rod. Installing this job was a breath of fresh air and turned out to be very serene!

Mix it up!

For the office in this house the owners wanted to be more playful with the window treatments. They decided to go with Banded Bottom Roman Shades. With a tassel at the bottom and a poof valance over top, the fabrics really work well with eachother and goes to prove to not to be scared of more detail and more pattern!

Elegance

Elegance was the first word that came to my mind when I hung these valances. Although they are a traditional design the polka dot fabric makes them more playful for this young lady's room. Although not seen in the picture, I upholstered the headboard and made the dust ruffle. The paisley printed fabric worked so great for her duvet complimenting the polka dots!

Every last detail was divine

For this little girl's room was elegant and yet still playful. I did re-covered her headboard and did buttons on it. The window bench seat was so adorable! I made the cushion and all the pillows in the room. I also crafted the roman shade as well as the window panel by the cushion! It is more interesting when you incorporate more than one style of window treatment in a room. I hope you enjoy looking at this room as much as the little girl does!
