Mix it up!

For the office in this house the owners wanted to be more playful with the window treatments. They decided to go with Banded Bottom Roman Shades. With a tassel at the bottom and a poof valance over top, the fabrics really work well with eachother and goes to prove to not to be scared of more detail and more pattern!

Elegance

Elegance was the first word that came to my mind when I hung these valances. Although they are a traditional design the polka dot fabric makes them more playful for this young lady's room. Although not seen in the picture, I upholstered the headboard and made the dust ruffle. The paisley printed fabric worked so great for her duvet complimenting the polka dots!

Every last detail was divine

For this little girl's room was elegant and yet still playful. I did re-covered her headboard and did buttons on it. The window bench seat was so adorable! I made the cushion and all the pillows in the room. I also crafted the roman shade as well as the window panel by the cushion! It is more interesting when you incorporate more than one style of window treatment in a room. I hope you enjoy looking at this room as much as the little girl does!

Just add ribbon!

Here is an example of how you can jazz up a plain roman shade with grosgrain ribbon. The ribbon gives it a very classic high end look for a fraction of the cost!

Cornice Boards are nice for office areas

Cornice boards are a nice tailored window treatment and add a little more masculinity in a room. You can add more than one fabric and different textures like this one. Also, the buttons add a bit of interest.

Guest Room

Here is a stage coach valance.
And this triangle overlap valance makes for a nice complimentry valance for a smaller window in the same room.

I'm still here!!!

Here is sink valance I did a while back. This particular one is called a soft mock roman valance. They are great to add softness to those little kitchen or boathroom windows.
